FAQ
What time will our session be scheduled for? Newborn sessions are typically scheduled in the morning or around midday, when your baby is most comfortable. Outdoor sessions are usually planned 1–2 hours before sunset, depending on the location and session length. Morning sessions are also available at select locations—just ask!
When should I book my maternity photoshoot? The ideal time for maternity photos is between 30–34 weeks. For first-time pregnancies, I typically recommend scheduling closer to 32-34 weeks, when the bump is beautifully round but you're still comfortable. For second or subsequent pregnancies, bump pops earlier, so around 30 weeks often works best.
Do you provide props? Sometimes! For newborns, I bring a Moses basket, and for spring flower field or citrus tree sessions, a wicker basket is available. Some locations also have a picnic blanket. My style is natural and unposed, so your baby will be comfortable and relaxed, not heavily swaddled or propped.
What should we wear to our session? Neutrals and light solids photograph beautifully. Bold patterns can be distracting in photos. If you’d like guidance, I’m happy to help you choose outfits that coordinate and feel timeless.
How long will it take to get our photos? Your fully edited gallery will be ready within 2–3 weeks. I also send sneak peeks within 48 hours, so you can enjoy a few favorites almost immediately!
Can we have the raw, unedited photos? No, raw or unedited images are not offered. Every photo you receive is carefully edited to my professional standard, ensuring the best quality and consistency.
Do you require a deposit? Yes! A non-refundable 50% retainer is required to reserve your session date. The remaining balance is due one week before the shoot.
Do you have a travel fee? Yes, for certain locations. Please refer to my Investment Guide for details. At this time, I do not travel outside of Orange County.
What if it’s raining? Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled at my discretion. If the forecast calls for rain, I’ll contact you to find a new date that works for everyone.
